An Almost Perfect (gray border) 200 x 300An Almost Perfect Christmas by Donna Fasano

USA Today Bestselling Author

When it comes to business, Aaron Chase knows how to succeed. But when his daughter, Izzie, asks him for the perfect family Christmas, the handsome widower feels at a loss about how to make his little girl’s dream come true.

Pediatric Nurse Christy Cooper has dedicated her life to taking care of children. She agrees to act as Izzie’s stand-in mom for this special holiday and throws herself into making the child’s Christmas wish a reality. Maybe this selfless act will somehow alleviate her secret regrets and failures of the past.

The holiday is filled with fun and laughter, and it’s amazing how three short days can be so life-changing. When the impish eight-year-old talks the adults into acting out a silly, make-believe wedding, young Izzie is certain the magic of the season will turn the pretend vows into the real thing. The little girl wants her daddy to have Christmas in his life–every single day.

NEW RELEASE: Mary Pat Hyland

oniondomes_cover_300x456TITLE: In the Shadows of the Onion Domes

PRICE: $2.99 / £1.92 / EUR 2,68

GENRE: Short Stories, Humor, Literary

By the confluence of the Susquehanna and Chenango rivers in New York’s Southern Tier lies a verdant valley called the Triple Cities.

The shoe factories that originally drew thousands of immigrants from across Europe have long moved on.

What remains are the distinct ethnic flavors of a gritty community determined to overcome economic woes, adapt to the rapid changes in society and find true meaning in life.

Consider these eighteen stories as pages ripped from a sketchbook. Some are quick studies; others are more detailed portraits inspired by observed characters, whispered gossip, overheard conversations and the local lore of the residents whose neighborhoods are framed by the gilded Orthodox Church domes that span this valley.

You’ll find that each tale has its own tone: some are humorous or poignant, others are surprising and haunting.

lostlovelettersstackIndie Chicks, a worldwide group of independent women authors, is proud to release its latest anthology: Lost Love Letters.

From the book description:

Love letter – what phrase conjures up more intense feelings than that simple phrase? Most of us have received a love letter. Many of us have written a love letter. Some of those letters were tucked away in the bottom of a drawer. Others were ripped to shreds or destroyed in symbolic flames. Whatever their fate, the one characteristic all love letters share is their raw and intense honesty. When we are declaring our love to another, we are speaking straight from the heart. Such words are precious because they capture a true moment in time. Whether a love lasts or not, in that moment, those words are real and sincere.

Last year, when the talented women writers of Indie Chicks were thinking about the subject of their next anthology, Barbara Silkstone came up with the idea of a compilation of love letters. Immediately, all of the women responded with enthusiasm. But what kind of love letters should be included in this anthology? There are many kinds of love letters – sweet and innocent; frank and honest; torrid and steamy; or sad and full of regret. What type of letters should be included in such a book? They tossed around some ideas and eventually came up with this one – Lost Love Letters. These are the long-overdue love letters that were never written. The recipient might be a first love, a child, a parent, a favorite aunt, or the one that got away. The subject was wide open, and the instruction was simple – pour your heart out. And so they did.

Here is that collection. Be prepared to smile and remember your own loves. Be prepared to glimpse into the hearts of many women. Be prepared to cry.

And when you are finished, you just might want to write your own Lost Love Letter. The best time to share love is always now.

Letters from many best selling authors including: Barbara Silkstone, Cheryl Bradshaw, Cheryl Shireman, Christine Nolfi, Christy Hayes, Consuelo Saah-Baehr, Donna Fasano, Faith Mortimer, Georgina Young-Ellis, Gerry McCullough, Heather Marie Adkins, Karin Cox, Kat Flannery, Katherine Owen, Lia Fairchild, Linda Barton, Lisa Vandiver, Louise Voss, Lynn Hubbard, Mary Pat Hyland, Melissa Smith, Peg Brantley, Penelope Crowe, Sarah Woodbury, Shanon Grey, Sibel Hodge, and Tonya Kappes.

NEW RELEASE: Faith Mortimer

childhunteBOOK TITLE: Childhunt

PRICE: $2.99

GENRE: Psychological Thriller

Two weeks before Christmas. The villagers of Agios Mamas, in Cyprus, are preparing for the season’s festivities. Without warning terror strikes the heart of the village.
Two small children disappear…without trace… the frantic search is on.
Who has been stalking the family for the last six years and knows their every move?
Why has this family been targeted? What is the kidnappers’ ultimate goal? Will local author and amateur sleuth, Diana Rivers and CID Police Chief Inspector, Adam Lovell find the children in time?
Join Diana and her friends as they try to unravel the horrific nightmare which has hit the sleepy little village.

*****Faith Mortimer’s sleuth Diana Rivers finds herself in danger while pursuing a vile criminal. In this fast-paced and gritty thriller, a mysterious stranger has abducted two small children. In a race against time, Diana and her friends set forth to hunt for the children in atrocious weather conditions. They must be found before they succumb to the weather or their abductor carries out his plans. Faith sets a chilling and disturbing scene brought together with tension and suspense. You will want to read this book in one go.

*****Like the great Mr. Foley of PBS’s “Foley Wars” Diana Rivers has become almost alive in Faith Mortimer’s previous compelling mystery novels. I have become allured by the author’s way of making a character so emotionally real. Once again Diana Rivers avails herself to the use of logic and common sense, must have sleuth commodities, and with the decorum of her English upbringing, segues herself from a simple vacation to leading the charge in search of two kidnapped children. The author entices you with false hints of culprits but in the same way, captures you completely so much so you don’t dare put the book down until Diana has solved the crime. This is one of Faith’s best. Her knowledge of Cyprus reveals itself throughout as Faith easily incorporates the appeal of this historical island amidst the entrappings of a fantastic criminal mystery.

*****This Diana Rivers novel is the best in the series yet, my problem is I can only give it 5 stars. This book will put your emotions one way and then another and it will keep you captivated until the end, when like me you will be screaming for a follow on book. Faiths description of the Cypriot countryside makes you think you are actually there and I have never been to Cyprus. The characters in this novel are all well described and hurry up please Faith with the next instalment. Well done with another fantastic novel.
